Adding your ARTstor image groups to CTOOLS
Many A&D faculty members are using ARTstor to gather and show images to their classes. Listed below are the steps to add ARTstor image groups to a CTOOLS site. If you would like further assistance with ARTstor or CTOOLS I am happy to assist you.
Adding your ARTstor image groups to CTOOLS
IN ARTSTOR
1. Go to ARTstor http://searchtools.lib.umich.edu/V?func=native-link&resource=UMI02915
and log in
2. Go to image groups
3. Open a group
4. Go to image groups again
5. Select Display Image Group URL
6. Click once on the URL so that the entire URL is highlighted (is is a long URL and scrolls past the text box).
7. Type
Now the URL can be added as a resource in CTOOLS
IN CTOOLS
1. Go to http://ctools.umich.edu and log in
2. Go to your course site
3. Go to Resources
4. Click on "add" and select "add web links (URLs)"
5. Paste the ARTstor URL into the URL text box
6. Select email notification if desired
7. Click "Add Links Now" button

New Artists' Books Online Catalog
As you may already know, the Art, Architecture and Engineering Library has a growing collection of artists' books. Many of these books are located in the AAEL Special Collections and you can see them if you make an appointment with me (I am happy to show them to classes too).
Thanks to the help of two wonderful SI Graduate students (Beth Pickard and Julie Piacentine) an illustrated online catalog of these artists' books is now available allowing you to browse the artists' books online before you come to visit them in person.
