6 Most Amazing Things Discovered in Space

Cracked.com presents us with an amazing set of discoveries from outer space. This makes us truly appreciate the wonders and anomalies in space such as the planet made of pure diamond, the arc of lightning that spans more than 3 times the width of the Milky Way and my personal favorite, VY Canis Majoris, a star so big that if it were placed in the solar system, it would extend all the way to Saturn's Orbit.

Wow, this article was really cool. It really talked about some sweet discoveries out there in the universe. I really liked reading about the planet made completely out of diamond. Whoever wrote this article is hilarious in his description of people's reactions when they first found that planet out. This was a really great article. Thanks for posting it.

Great article! Each of the 6 discoveries was unique and ever increasingly mind blowing. While the focus of this article seems to be more focused on humor and the bizarre aspects of the cosmos, the author did a good job of explaining each discovery. By the 5th and 6th discovery it became clear that there is no possible way to fathom the vast implications of size and possibility that exist in space.

Amazing. I especially enjoy the last couple parts about scale and huge blob, where it says:
The hardest part of understanding anything about space is trying to grasp a sense of scale.
Also, the idea of looking back in time is intriguing. If we can look back even further, we may probably see the origin of time and space.
