Middlebury College: Modern China Faculty

The history department at Middlebury College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the history of 20th-century China, with specialization in either the Republican (1912-1949) or the People's Republic (post-1949) period.

Responsibilities include chronological surveys of modern Chinese and East Asian history; upper-level seminars in the successful candidate's specialty; a one-course contribution to the international studies program each year; and supervision of senior independent work. Appointment will begin September 2009 at level of Assistant Professor. PhD must be completed by the date of appointment.
