Notre Dame instructor position

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, University of Notre Dame, invites applications for an instructor (assistant special professional faculty) of Chinese to begin August 2009.

The successful candidate must hold at least an MA in pedagogy, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related fields. He/she must also have university-level experience teaching Chinese using communicative, proficiency-based methodology, and have native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English. Principal instructional duties will be the teaching of Chinese language courses at all levels. Salaries are competitive within the discipline.

Departmental Representatives will attend the ACTFL convention in Orlando and be available for optional preliminary interviews and consultation. Review of candidates will begin December 1, and will continue until the position is filled.
