EUROPOLIS is a "peer review" journal founded in 2001 within the academic community of the Political Science and Public Administration Faculty, Babeş-Bolyai University. The bi-annual publication promotes Political Science scholars, focusing on research and studies that fulfill academic criteria and standards. The publication represents a framework where researchers' interests, approaches, and methodologies meet to create high standard academic debates.

Issue 4/2008 tackles the topic of the European identity. The editors aim to generate a debate regarding this issue, by accepting papers that try to answer questions like: Who are the Europeans? What is the substance of this identity? Where does Europe stop? What connects and/or singles Europeans out? What can Europe offer? Is there an identity crisis?

In order to attract various contributions, the journal proposes two categories: academic papers and book reviews. Under the "work in progress" section, it also accepts parts of larger works that are not yet finalized. This provides the authors the chance to receive valuable feedback from the readers and it allows the latter to analyze a developing research. The requirements for work in progress are the similar with the ones for an article.

The World of Dante (www.worldofdante.org) was launched in July 2008. The earlier Inferno prototype has been considerably expanded thanks to recent funding from the NEH and other foundations. The new site has a new domain name.

The enhanced site includes the Italian text and Allen Mandelbaum’s translation of the Divine Comedy marked up in XML; an interactive timeline; an interactive version of Botticelli’s Chart of Hell; an array of maps of Dante’s Italy and all three realms of the afterlife; musical recordings of the liturgical chants and hymns mentioned in Purgatory and Paradise; a gallery of more than 600 images; a searchable database; and teaching resources and activities. Many historians contributed to information this site. The World of Dante offers a dynamic analytical tool that we hope will accommodate a wide range of approaches to teaching the Divine Comedy.

If you use the site in teaching I'd be grateful for any feedback.

Perspectives, Review of International Affairs invites authors to submit their papers for a special issue on Religion in International Relations and the Political Theology of International Relations.

Background
The growing interest of the scholarly community in the resurgence of
religion after the constructivist turn and the renewed attention to the relation between the discipline's evolution and religion has led the editors to dedicate the next special issue of the Journal to the
exploration of the relevance of religion for international relations.
Both purely theoretical articles and theoretically relevant empirical
studies will be welcome. Every article submitted for publication
undergoes the process of double blind peer review.
