Full-time positions in Economics and Finance

The International School of Economics and Social Sciences (ISE), established jointly by the London School of Economics and the Kazakh British Technical University in Almaty, Kazakhstan is inviting applications for full-time positions in economics and finance. Any specialization will be considered.

The appointments will be for three years in the first instance, starting in August 2008, with a review of teaching, research, and service by the International Academic Committee of the ISE at the end of the first year. During the third year of appointment there will be a performance review to determine whether the employment will be continued.

Successful candidates are required to hold a PhD degree in economics, finance or related discipline, and contribute to both research and teaching in the ISE. The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The ISE is a four-year undergraduate economics programme offering degrees in economics and management as well as banking and finance. The programme is conducted in English and so knowledge of Russian is not mandatory. Students who successfully complete all requirements are awarded a BSc degree from the University of London and also earn an undergraduate degree from KBTU.
