Job: Assistant Professor, U of Alabama
The University of Alabama History Department
invites applications for a tenure-track assistant
professorship in the history of Russia/Eastern
Europe (with specialization in the nineteenth or
twentieth centuries), to begin August 2009.
Candidates should be able to teach Russian history
as well as the modern (1648-present) Western
Civilization survey, in addition to undergraduate
and graduate courses in their specialty. The
Department and the University emphasize
excellence in teaching as well as scholarship. Ph.D.
must be in hand by the time of appointment.
