Call for volunteer proofreaders and editors for news portal from Lithuania

Analytical news portal the Lithuania Tribune (www.lithuaniatribune.com) would like to propose a mutually beneficial cooperation. We would like to invite your students to take part in developing the only source of news and analysis in English coming from Lithuania every day. Those involved will get additional insight into the Lithuanian and regional political and economic developments and will be able further deepen their knowledge in the field.

We would like invite your students and academics to take part in creating the portal by proof reading and editing our texts. Our texts vary from 100 up to 1,000 words and mostly related to the Lithuanian news, politics, Lithuania’s place in the world, economics and commentaries.

It goes without saying that your students and academics are more than welcome to write on the above mentioned topics related to Lithuania and the region as a whole. However, since we do not generate any funds we won’t be able to pay; hence we are looking for volunteers.

Its reporting is based on integrity and independence, reflecting Lithuania’s current affairs through the lens of the mainstream Lithuanian media, various state and independent institutions, academia and political establishment. We aim to provide our readers with quality content and a wide range of information, mixed with local views. It is a non commercial project run on volunteer bases and is based in Vilnius.

The portal was established in August 2009 and early 3,000 articles and commentaries on the Lithuania’s current events, economics and politics have been published so far.
