Study abroad: International Summer School, KIMEP University, Almaty

KIMEP University: a unique institution in a fascinating place. At the KIMEP University International Summer School, you will take classes in business, law, and the social sciences taught by an internationally-recognized faculty from the United States, UK, France, China, as well as Kazakhstan. You will take classes in English, and have the opportunity to learn Russian. You will meet the people of Kazakhstan, as well as an incredible group of international students.
Kazakhstan: a society at the crossroads of Russia, China, and the Middle East. One of Asia's most diverse countries and fastest-growing economies. At KIMEP University, you will be in the heart of Almaty, Central Asia's cultural capital, with the Tyan-Shan mountains on one side and the world-famous Kazakh steppes on the other.
KIMEP University established an International Summer School (ISS) in the summer of 2010. The aim of this new program is to increase diversity of student and faculty community. The ISS is open for KIMEP University students and students from other universities in Kazakhstan and abroad. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.
At ISS, the courses are often innovative in content or format. Students can earn 3 credits (6 ECTS) and a certificate from KIMEP University. Early bird applicants and participants from partner universities of KIMEP University receive a tuition fee discount.
KIMEP University provides 27 merit based tuition scholarships for International, Central Asian and Kazakhstan (non-KIMEP University) students.
General requirements for scholarship competition:
- GPA above 3.3;
- Motivation essay to express interest to participate at ISS of KIMEP University in Kazakhstan;
- Outstanding extra-curricular activities.
