Yiddish Book Center Programs

The Yiddish Book Center offers a variety of programs for young adultss of all age groups. Apply now for the Great Jewish Books Summer Program, the Steiner Summer Yiddish Program, or the Yiddish Book Center’s Fellowship Program—whichever is right for their age-group!

These are the different programs available:

Great Jewish Books offers rising high school juniors and seniors a chance to read, discuss, argue about, and fall in love with some of the most powerful and enduring works of modern Jewish literature while making friends with teens from across North America.

The Steiner Summer Yiddish Program engages college students in a seven-week exploration of Yiddish language and culture, providing intensive language study, classes with top scholars in Jewish history, literature, and music, and a variety of social and cultural events. (Watch a short video about the Steiner program at here!)

The Fellowship Program provides recent college graduates the opportunity to spend a year as full-time Yiddish Book Center staff, learning new skills and deepening their own knowledge of Yiddish language, literature, and culture. (Listen to an interview with two of our current Fellows at here!)
