CREES Job: Administrative Assistant

The Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES), an affiliate of the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia, seeks a student employee who can provide general office and outreach assistance. Duties will include but are not limited to: providing assistance setting up events and hosting visitors, preparing flyers and other event announcements, assisting with implementation of K-16 outreach/teacher training and evaluation activities, updating databases, copying and scanning, filing, and other duties as needed.

Job requirements: Excellent oral and written skills; initiative; ability to follow a task through to completion; attention to details; punctuality and dependability. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Office applications. Academic background on Russia, Eastern Europe, and/or Eurasia is an asset for this position. Must be available to work on Wednesdays from 11 AM to 2 PM; other times by arrangement. Preference will be given to students with work-study funding, but applications from students without work-study funding will also be considered.
