Internship and Other Opportunities at The International

I am contacting you on behalf of The International, a news website that features articles from a variety of sources on issues of public interest:http://www.theinternational.org.

We are currently looking for reporters at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. We provide our interns with all the training on how to write for the online environment while maintaining high journalistic standards, a skill that proves invaluable for anyone who may want to break into journalism or write a blog in the future.

A little about us: We are a small, but dedicated team that works toward furthering global understanding of issues through focused investigative journalism. Our team has always been quite young, with most of us in our twenties, but we have established very high standards for ourselves. Our goal is not to shape what people think, but to carefully nourish a more perspicacious approach towards consuming the news. We are an independent company.

If you want to dig deeper into what The International is and offers, you can take a look at our editorial policy here:http://www.theinternational.org/EP.

Study/Intern/Vaolunteer in Siberia, Russia

Educational Centre "Cosmopolitan" is pleased to offer study/intern/volunteer abroad opportunities at the Summer and Winter Language Camps, and throughout the 2014-2015 academic year.

The Summer Camp will be held in three consecutive two-week sessions during the summer of 2014 in the beautiful countryside just outside Novosibirsk and in the picturesque Altai mountains area. The Winter Camp will be held in January 2014 and January 2015 in a warm and comfortable facility in the delightful countryside just outside of Novosibirsk, the administrative capital of Siberia and the center of Russia.

Also, throughout the 2014-2015 school year, we are pleased to offer study/intern/volunteer abroad opportunities (short-term and academic year long) and Year Abroad programs, individually tailored to the needs of the student.

There are vacancies available for all programs. This is an excellent opportunity that is not to be missed. Students from many US and UK universities participate every year. Many of them return and recommend the programs to others.

Being comprehensive and offering very competitive prices, the program will be an attractive option. The program is unique in bringing volunteer teachers and international students from all over the world to Siberia to live, work and study in a residential setting with Russian students and teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to learn Russian, and get a first-hand experience of the Russian culture and lifestyle.

These programs have been run for 18 years already. It is a fact that many students and teachers return to the program year after year as a testament to its success. The program is open to schoolchildren, university students and adults of all ages and levels of Russian. No previous knowledge of Russian is required.

For more information on the programs and to read about the former participants' experiences, please visit the website http://eng.cosmo-nsk.com/ and contact the Program Director Natalia Bodrova cosmo@cosmo-nsk.com or cosmoschool2@yandex.ru with any questions or application inquiries.
