Michigan Library Branches Out
Am I the only one noticing how Michigan Library is permeating the web, with links in Wikipedia

and in Amazon?

See the little M after the word "(Paperback)"?
I have found these very helpful when looking for books, only to discover we have it at the library. I would imagine students and faculty will think the same thing!

Those aren't actually on the webpages -- you must have an extension or greasemonkey script installed that detects isbn/issn and adds in UMich links.

yup -- it's LibX. If you have LibX installed, it looks for ISBN/ISSN numbers, other information on that page and adds in the M logo and links you to our collections. PRETTY AWESOME in my opinion. I didn't know it worked in Wikipedia, but I tried it with success!

And fyi: if you have a webpage of your own that lists articles or books... you can add just a little code to your html and it will enable the same functionality! See my list of usability resources for an example: http://www.lib.umich.edu/usability/resources.html#articles -suz
