17 Teams Invited to Submit Full Proposals
The GROCS 2009 Call for Proposals attracted fifty-six Proposal Abstracts from students representing 47 academic departments. Twenty-nine abstracts received at least one "high priority" mark from reviewers, indicating a generally excellent field of entries. Seventeen teams have been selected to continue the proposal process.
The seventeen teams selected to continue will have until November 1 to gather additional team members and to complete the full proposal, which includes a literature review and a more detailed project description. A maximum of six teams will be selected for funding.
Teams--and individuals interested in joining a team--are strongly encouraged to attend Wednesday Afternoon Tea or meet with GROCS staff during the proposal development period (email grocs.info). Check it out on Facebook! Our page is Design Lab One.
Teams that weren't selected to continue the GROCS proposal process are welcome to ask for feedback or advice about other possible sources of funding. All of the projects proposed are worth doing - some were simply more closely tied to GROCS goals.
