Blackbaud Returns Gap Estimations
(Project Update Nov. 2008) Project team reviewed and analyzed Blackbaud estimates for identified gaps to determine trends and areas for further review. Blackbaud executives met with DART project team to determine overall direction and mutually agreeable decisions regarding handling of gap items and estimates. Capital Committee meeting postponed until next available meeting date. October Progress Report.

Shadowing available for Mac users on Wolverine Access!
Help Desk consultants can visually walk users through the necessary steps to solve a problem. Less time is needed to describe a problem and more time is available working together toward a solution. No new software is needed for Mac users to take advantage of this option. Shadowing is also available for Windows users who call the Help Desk.

eResearch Proposal Management Preview:
Preview the next eResearch Web-based system, Proposal Management. eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) is being developed to accommodate the electronic routing, approval, and submission of funding proposals to external sponsors, including Grants.gov. This session will provide a high-level overview of the new eRPM system. Specifically, it will demonstrate basic system navigation, discuss key system features (for example, Proposal Approval Form creation, Grants.gov forms, cloning), and share resources for the system implementation.

eResearch Regulatory Management Release 2.0 Overview:
Preview the major enhancements to eResearch Regulatory Management System, which is scheduled for a Winter 2009 implementation. You will learn about the streamlining initiative, which includes customized paths through the human subjects research application. The session will also highlight changes to the amendment process, and the new look and feel of the upgraded system.

Proposal Management Pilot
Proposal Management system pilot begins in November 2008 to prepare for the all campus release in March 2009. The pilot will include 20-25 proposals from a variety of project types and units. MAIS wants to improve its communication and collaboration with you. We need your ideas on how the UL Program can serve you better. If you think we need to improve the program, please take the time to participate in a survey about the MAIS Unit Liaison (UL) Program. If you think we don't need to change a thing, please tell us that too. Even if you don't attend UL meetings regularly, we want to hear from you.

New Treasurer's Office Catalog Available in My LINC
My LINC now includes an additional catalog with training resources for the Treasurer's Office. Financial Unit Liaisons are receiving this message as a courtesy notification of the change. There are no M-1 access roles or responsibilities related to the catalog at this time.
The Treasurer's Office catalog provides resources for departmental end users who conduct:
-- Departmental Cash Management activities: University units that deposit monies and/or use the online Cash Receipt Ticket must be certified prior to making deposits, and must recertify every two years. My LINC contains the new Depository Certification eLearning, simulation, and documentation materials for certification and training.
Note: Monthly instructor-led training will still be offered for Depositors by the Treasurer's Office, if desired as an alternative to the eLearning course. Registration for instructor-led sessions can be made online using My LINC.
-- (COMING SOON!) Merchant Card activities: University units that accept credit cards for payment of goods/services they supply must complete the merchant certification training. My LINC contains the new Merchant Certification eLearning and simulation materials. Optional lab sessions will still be offered annually for Merchant Contacts in need of assistance by the Treasurer's Office.
Note: The Departmental Cash Management resources are available today, but the Merchant Card materials will be available later this winter.
