JOB: Professor in Persian Language and Linguistics, University of Maryland
The Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute Center for Persian Studies at the University of Maryland seeks applicants for a tenured senior position (either Associate or Full Professor) as Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute Chair in Persian Language and Linguistics. Specializations may be in one or more areas of linguistics, including, but not limited to, sociolinguistics (e.g., Persian language variation, language and identity, language and politics), psycholinguistics, applied linguistics, pragmatics, or language and culture. The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of scholarly publications, excellent teaching evaluations, and native or near-native command of at least one variety of Persian and English.
