U of Colorado - Instructorship in Persian/Farsi Language

The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado invites applications for an instructor in Persian/Farsi language. (The Department is expanding its scope to include other geographical areas of Asia and anticipates being renamed Asian Languages and Civilizations shortly.) Initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities will normally include teaching three Farsi language classes per semester (beginning through advanced) and service related to the development of a strong Farsi language program. Minimum of MA degree in Farsi or related field; native or near-native fluency in Farsi and English; and demonstrated expertise in teaching Farsi at the university level, knowledge of current pedagogical approaches, expertise in using current technologies in language instruction, dynamism, and leadership qualities required.
