Critical Language Scholarship Program - Summer 2009
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department Of State, will offer 525 scholarships for intensive summer language institutes overseas in 11 critical need foreign languages for summer 2009. U.S. citizen undergraduate students are encouraged to apply. The CLS Program provides fully-funded, seven to 10 week, group-based intensive language instruction and extensive cultural enrichment experiences at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels in Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish and Urdu (beginning not offered for Azerbaijani, Chinese, Persian or Russian).
The application deadline is November 14, 2008.
