McGill University - Assistant/Associate Professor in Persian/Iranian Studies
McGill University, Institute of Islamic Studies seeks to fill a tenure-track or tenured position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Persian/Iranian Studies since the advent of Islam. Time periods and fields are otherwise open. The ability to teach graduate-level courses using Persian-language materials is required. Knowledge of French is an asset. The committee is particularly interested in receiving applications from scholars who adopt innovative and theoretically informed approaches to their areas of specialization and who will benefit from interacting with a large and vibrant group of scholar-teachers working in a variety of disciplines on different aspects of the Islamic world. Salary will be negotiable, according to qualifications and experience. Starting date: August 1, 2009.
