UC San Diego - Assistant or Associate Professor Level
Tenure-Track Position - Muslim Societies (Application Deadline: Wednesday, April 15, 2009).
The Department of Sociology at UC San Diego invites applications for a tenure track/tenured position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are looking for a first rate scholar whose research focuses on Muslim societies. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and will be expected to teach and supervise students, primarily at the graduate level, conduct an extramurally funded research program, and participate in administrative functions of the department and the University. Assistant-level candidates will be expected to show evidence of their potential through letters of recommendation and a publication record appropriate for their experience. Associate-level candidates must show evidence of a strong research record in their specialization.
