University of Michigan Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies April 2010 Events:
-Monday, April 12, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
-“Deentight” (Film/Panel Discussion)
-Room 1636, International Institute, 1080 S University.
-Follow a group of Muslim Hip Hop artists living in the United States and United Kingdom. They discuss intimately with us the challenges they face trying to balance their faith, culture, and the pressures of daily Western life.
-There will be a panel discussion following the film with University of Michigan Professor Sherman Jackson and “Deentight” Director Mustafa Davis.
