"Take a Stand Against Islamophobia" Campaign
JstreetU--"Take a Stand Against Islamophobia" Campaign
JstreeU will be having a Coffee Talk this Wednesday (October 6) at 8:30 pm in room 3427 Mason Hall with the Muslim Student Association. Free coffee and hot cocoa will be served while we discuss the anti-Muslim sentiment spreading across the country. Learn why the fight against Islamophobia should be important to you as an American, and what common misconceptions exist about Islam.
JstreetUmich is the Progressive Israel group on campus that strives to educate and advocate peace in the Middle East. Right now, JstreetU is working on a campaign to combat anti-Muslim Sentiment in Michigan and the USA. To learn more visit http://jstreetumich.com/
Help JstreetU spread the word about their campaign, and advocate a student voice against religious intolerance by signing their petition https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dFFDamhfZ3p6Z1lpNDBURFFWZ3N6S2c6MQ
Once there are 1,000 signatures, JstreetU will be publishing an ad in the Daily for the campaign. The ad will include the signature count, and all of the groups who are co-sponsoring. The ultimate goal right now is to pass an MSA resolution against Islamophobia once enough support for the campaign has been gained.
