American Institute for Yemeni Studies: Research Fellowships for Citizens of Yemen 2011-2012
Fellowships provide: Funds for research--related expenses of original research or field study by Yemeni scholars. Funds are for research conducted in Yemen.
Eligibility: Applicants must show qualifications for undertaking the project described in the proposal. An advanced degree is not a requirement, nor is fluency in English. However, the application cover form must be submitted in English.
Award: The maximum amount that can be awarded to any one project under this fellowship competition is $2000.

AIYS fellowships are funded by a grant from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State.
