Mid-career journalists from developing countries can apply for a fellowship in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands Fellowship Program, sponsored by the Radio Nederland Training Centre (RNTC), aims to strengthen the capacity of journalists to use the Internet in research, publication and distribution.
Print, broadcast and online journalists from 60 select countries can apply for a scholarship. Special consideration is given to women and candidates from sub-Saharan Africa. For a full list of eligible countries, click here.
The course will focus on enabling participants to work as Internet journalists and producers. Topics to be covered include web design, multimedia reporting and producing audio and video.
Self-paying or sponsored candidates from other countries are also welcome to apply, but all applicants must have English proficiency and at least three years journalism experience.
The deadline is February 7 for fellowship applicants and July 15 for non-fellowship applicants.
