Another Year
A married couple who have managed to remain blissfully happy into their autumn years are surrounded over the course of the four seasons of one average year by friends, colleagues, and family who all seem to suffer some degree of unhappiness.
Modern American medicine would have these people on antidepressants and in therapy. However Mike Leigh and the cast explore modern dissatisfaction, loneliness and emotional isolation while the hope of love is still there and possible in the future. An excellent film. ~Mike
