Jewel in the Palace (Tae Chang-gum)

A historical drama based on a true story, Chang-gŭm tells the tale of the first woman to become the King's personal physician in the 16th century of Korea. Chang-gŭm strives to learn the secrets of Korean cooking and medicine in order to cure the king's various ailments.

Outstanding period piece. It has love intrigue and lots of good food. Once you start watching you'll be hooked. ~Mike

Thieves (Toduktŭl) (Dodukdeul)

In order to let things cool down from their latest heist, Popeye and his group of thieves go to Macau on a job. But the mastermind behind this job is none other than Popeye's old partner Macau Park, who escaped with 68kg of gold several years ago on their last job together. Macau Park brought Chinese thieves as well but little did they know what Macau Park planned for each one of them. His plan takes an unexpected turn when Popeye brings Pepsi, a genius safe-cracker and old flame of Macau Park, to settle the old score.

Woochi is a Tao wizard from the Chosun Dynasty who is wrongly accused of a crime he didn't commit and was banished into a magical scroll for five centuries. He was then summoned in modern day Seoul to help capture the evil goblins that are wrecking havoc on the world.

A failed suicide attempt leads a heartbroken man to live a life in the wilderness. A reclusive young woman, who takes close-up shots of the moon and has not left her apartment in years, spies him and comes to think of him as her own alien.

A sweet film of two individuals who are isolated from society for different reasons. They both learn to communitcate with each other over a very long distance. There is hope. Enjoy. ~Mike
