Highlighing

Dear volunteers,
Please avoid highlighting sentences and paragraphs in articles that you find for patients. As librarians our job is to provide information only, not advice, interpretation, or explanation of the information. If you want to point out to the reader where the information about his topic is, (for example if you printed an overview of colon cancer and the patron is interested only in surgery for colon cancer) just write on the first page "see page X" and then highlight the section heading if there is one. Please do not highlight in order to emphasize or explain information.

Thanks,

-Ruti
