Kids and Teens iPods
We are implementing a new collection of iPods with special programming for kids and teens. The content consists of music, audiobooks, guided imagery and podcasts. It is arranged into playlists by age groups.
For the kids and teens we have 5 iTouch devices and 5 nanos. The nanos have only the content for young kids - for age groups 3-5 and 6-8.
Please make sure that the iPod Squad volunteers do not take the kids and teens iPods to the In-patient units. I put yellow labels on the Kids iPods so they will be easy to recognize.
The checkout procedure is similar to the current out-patient checkout. The kids and teens iPods will be checked out to outpatients only. We require that the parent or guardian for the child provide their driver's license and their name. For example, if the iPod is checked out to Ryan Smith, the brother of patient Sean Smith, the checkout sheet should include:
Under name: Parent Smith for Ryan Smith, Patient
Blue Card Number is the Patient Blue Card Number = Sean's Blue Card Number
Cell phone number of parent and a driver's license.
There will be a special evaluation form for the parents of kids checking out the iPod.
If there is no parent with the child and child does not have a driver's license, we need to talk with the child life worker before we can check out an ipod.
Thank you for helping the Sight & Sound program become so successful! We couldn't have done it without you!
