Residential Initiatives Coordinator Position

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Administrative and Human Resources Assistant, oversees the management of Commission-owned Computer Learning Centers located at the Commission's Public Housing Family Developments. Ensures that Centers are running properly and residents are using them to maximum capacity. Interacts with local schools and school administrators, juvenile and civic associations, and resident committees in the nearby communities. Prepares and maintains required reports and related files.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, college coursework in Family Services or Humanities preferred. Two or more years of experience with working with diverse clientele, both socially and economically. Grant writing experience desired. Possession of a valid Michigan's Driver's license. Able to be insurable by the Commission's insurance carrier. Must have own vehicle.
COMPENSATION: $32, 461.00/year ($15.55/hour)
*This is a grant driven position. A one year contract will be signed with renewal yearly based on grant money and performance.
