NOTICE
Community Mental Health Authority will make employment offers contingent on receiving official

exam. Some positions require employees to pass a physical exam annually. Some positions require verification of an

JOB #09-107P – RELIEF MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST –
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Crisis Services Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services, interviews individuals
(both walk-in and telephone) who may need crisis intervention and/or voluntary or involuntary admission to a local or state hospital.
Provides consultation services to local area hospital Emergency Physicians.
Requirements: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required. Possession of an appropriate State of
Michigan credential is required, LMSW preferred. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) working with persons
with mental illness required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental
illness required. One or more years of professional experience in working with serious and persistently mentally ill adults, providing
crisis intervention techniques, determining hospital eligibility, performing clinical diagnostic assessments/evaluations, and brief
counseling techniques is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and solid computer skills are preferred. The ability to
communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form is required. Candidate will provide crisis intervention as needed
(Therapeutic Options A) and must be physically able to do lifting and transferring of physically impaired consumers according to
approved agency policies/procedures. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation
for job related use is required. Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a pre-employment
physical, background verification, and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check,
verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational
background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. An individual may be excluded from consideration based

JOB #09-108P - DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES CLINICIAN/CASE MANAGER –
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Life Consultation, will provide case management services and
consultation to persons with developmental disabilities residing in Adult Foster Care/Specialized homes, or in Supported Living
situations or living with their families. Responsibilities of the position will include using person centered processes to develop,
coordinate and monitor individual plans; overall coordination of individualized consumer services; consultative intervention with
families, foster care homes and service providers; and extensive clinical documentation and record keeping.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field required. Possession of an
appropriate State of Michigan credential is required. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in treating or working
with persons who have a developmental disability preferred. Individuals who do not meet the one year of experience must have a
QMRP sign off on documents requiring the year of experience. Experience with persons with developmental disabilities or mental
illness is preferred. Professional experience in case management is preferred. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both
verbally and in writing required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related
use required. Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and
credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license,

JOB # 09-003TR - RELIEF FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER –
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Family Guidance Service Coordinator, will function as a member of a team oriented,
home-based intensive intervention unit working with children at risk of an out-of-home placement. In conjunction with the primary
therapist, provides a variety of services to individuals and families. Typical duties include: mentoring; consumer transportation;
supervision of and participation in leisure activities with consumers and consumers’ families; and assistance in the implementation of
specific treatment plans.
Requirements: Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency is required. Some college is preferred. Must be at least 18
years of age. Minimum 6 months experience with emotionally impaired children and families is required. Expectation of some
afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Person must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess good verbal and written
communication skills. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is
required. Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check
and upon verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. An individual may be excluded from consideration based
upon driving record.
