Posted: February 18, 2010
To be eligible for Spring University-wide Commencement tickets, you must meet one of the following criteria:
• December 2009 graduate, but did not walk in the December university-wide commencement
• Submitted a Winter 2010 graduation application in Wolverine Access (to graduate at the end of the term; Winter term: January – April 2010)
• Submitted a Summer 2010 graduation application in Wolverine Access (to graduate at the end of the term; Spring/Summer term: May – August 2010)
If you have not submitted a graduation application in Wolverine Access and plan to graduate in April 2010 (Winter 2010) or August 2010 (Summer 2010), then you must submit a graduation application in Wolverine Access by March 15th to be eligible for University-wide Spring Commencement tickets.
For information on University-wide Spring Commencement, including how to get tickets, please visit the U-M Student’s Guide to Commencement
The School of Social Work will hold a Spring Commencement on May 1st at the Power Center and a Summer Commencement on August 7th at Hill Auditorium. By holding the School of Social Work exercise in May at the same time as the university-wide exercises, students and their families are given the opportunity to participate in both exercises and related activities on campus. There is no summer university-wide commencement.
No tickets or registration are required for the SSW commencement ceremonies. Only if you have submitted a graduation application to graduate in August and plan to walk in the SSW Spring Commencement in May, rather than the August ceremony, please send an email to Michelle Gorton in the Office of Student Services.
