Summer Internship at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is currently seeking a grant writing and/or marketing specialist for an 8-week internship this summer. The scope and responsibilities of the internship are somewhat flexible and could include the following: 1) researching and finding grant opportunities for the Museum, 2) writing grant applications, 3) leading current marketing efforts such as the Museum's Facebook page, blog, and email communications, and 4) developing strategic plans for current or new marketing initiatives.

Although the summer internship is unpaid, successful interns would be considered for a paid full- or part-time position after the internship.

Qualifications for this position include strong written and verbal communication, high self-motivation and self-management, ability to work in a team environment, and experience in either grant writing or marketing. Graphic design skills are also desirable. This position requires someone to work with little managerial oversight in a fast-paced, non-profit environment.
