Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Director

American Indian Health and Family Services of Southeastern Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Director, responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the implementation and evaluation of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs and infrastructure. Minimum Masters level degree in mental health required; 3-5 years clinical supervision and administrative experience preferred.

Qualified candidates must be self-directed and able to maintain confidentiality, handle crises, and tolerate stress professionally. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends. Ability to promote an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free lifestyle. Familiarity and/or experience working with the Native American Community at a local level. Respect for and knowledge of traditional, cultural and spiritual practices of a diverse Native American Community, as well as an ability to work with other racially, culturally and ethnically diverse populations. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
