The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) is redesigning the Advanced Generalist licensing exam, and is seeking social workers who would be willing to take a pilot test at NO CHARGE (a $260 savings), in order to help ASWB develop a bank of test questions that will ensure the ASWB exams remain effective measures of social work competence.
The Advanced Generalist examination is designed for social workers with an MSW and at least two years of post-MSW experience in non-clinical social work practice. In Michigan, graduating students can also take the test upon the completion of their MSW program. Other states may have other rules.
