Call for Papers - 3rd Annual Conference on Poverty and Inequality

The Interdisciplinary Group on Poverty and Inequality (IGPI) is seeking graduate student papers and posters for its Third Annual Conference on Poverty and Inequality to be held in March 2011.
Students who wish to present papers or posters on any aspect of poverty and inequality, broadly defined, are encouraged to apply. Please email your abstracts to firstname.lastname@example.org by FEBRUARY 15, 2011.
Open to submissions from all graduate or professional students at the University, and encourage submissions that address individual, local, national and global perspectives and that use qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Abstracts will be refereed, and selected participants will be notified in February. The day-long conference will feature a keynote speaker, panel and poster presentations. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants.
The Interdisciplinary Group on Poverty and Inequality (IGPI) is a student run initiative funded by Rackham's Interdisciplinary Workshop Series and the School of Social Work. The group hosts a variety of events each year on issues related to poverty and inequality, featuring graduate student and faculty speakers from both inside and outside of the university, as well as a Spring Conference of graduate student work.
