Timeline of Upcoming Activities for Incoming MSW Students

Please review the timeline below to learn about upcoming activities for incoming MSW students*:

* You must pay your enrollment deposit to matriculate into the program, set up your U-M uniqname, and be eligible for the following:

• May 13 or upon matriculation and uniquename set-up (for students beginning field in fall term) - Field Application Due

• late May/early June – Sign up for registration appointment time, online course advising session, on-campus summer new student program session

• May 16 -23 – Receive email from OSS providing detailed information on registration, course advising sessions, and summer new program sessions

• late June/early July – Receive email from OSS letting you know of any exemptions you’ll receive from foundation courses

• late June/early July – Join online course advising session

• July/August – Attend a Summer New Student Program Session (optional)

• July/August – Register for classes

• August 30 – September 1: Attend Fall Orientation
