Attn: May 2013 MSW Degree Candidates! Please read & respond by Monday, February 18th.
The Graduation Planning Committee would like your input in suggesting faculty participants for the following roles in our May 4th SSW graduation ceremony.
• Marshals: coordinate the ceremony activities on the day of graduation
• Readers: read individual names of graduates as they cross stage
• Hooders: place ceremonial Masters hood over graduates head before they cross stage
You do not need to specify roles - just names of the faculty you would like to see participate. The Graduation Committee will invite and assign the specific roles to those selected.

An integral part of the SSW commencement ceremony is the opportunity for one or two of our MSW degree candidates to speak. This opportunity is open to SSW students who expect to complete their MSW degree requirements at the end of winter term 2013, are in good academic standing, and plan to attend the ceremony at the Power Center on May 4th.

SSW Spring 2013 Commencement will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Power Center. A light reception will immediately follow in the Power Center Lobby.
If you are planning to attend the SSW Spring Commencement ceremony, please RSVP to mtgorton@umich.edu and include your dissertation title.
All MSW degree candidates and PhD in Social Work & Social Science degree candidates planning to graduate in May 2013 are encouraged to participate in May commencement activities. Tickets are not required for the SSW ceremony.
