In case this is news to you!
The Thompson Library ceased to be a depository for United States government publications in January 2004. We no longer receive government publications unless we buy them. Publications we buy are not being kept in the separate documents collection.
The documents we received on deposit (we never owned them, the federal government owns them) including some publications in the periodicals and main collections, are being offered systematically to other libraries. Creating and administering the offers lists is occupying most of the time of Documents Librarian Dorothy Davis (me).
Reference service and advice about government information and publications is still available. Whatever publications are still on the premises (boxed or on shelves) can be made available for use. If we don't have it, maybe we can find it online, or at another library. Ask me.
