As the liaison librarian for Africana Studies, I am taking a close look at the Black Studies Center and I am quite impressed with the wealth of material that is available there. The full text of the Chicago Defender contains many interesting and important historical articles including several written by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There are also full text articles from academic journals such as "The Black Scholar," book chapters including "A Black Feminist Statement," and full text PhD dissertations.

This is a very valuable resource for anyone studying topics related to Africa and African people.
