1. Go to http://directory.umich.edu.

2. Click the Bind button. (Before you can make changes to the directory, you must "bind" to the directory as yourself.)

3. At the login screen, enter your uniqname and UMICH password, then click Log in.

4. In the Search text box at the upper left corner of your window, enter "alainterested,' then click the Search button.

5. The directory entry for the alainterested group will be displayed. Click the Join button to the left of the group name, and you'll be all set.
