2008-2009 Election Results
Voting for the American Library Association Student Chapter at the School of Information (ALA@SI) ended last night at 11:59 PM. Please congratulate your new student officers!

Sometime in the near future the current officers will meet with these newly elected officers to hand over responsibility of ALA@SI.

ELECTIONS 2008
It is TIME. TIME FOR (more) ELECTIONS.
If you would like to be an ALA officer next year, or there is someone
you would like to nominate, we will be accepting nominations from now
through Thursday (3/20).
Following this period, we will notify nominees, and we ask that you
accept (or decline) the nomination by Tuesday (3/25). If you do
decide to run, a personal statement is due by this day (3/25).
Voting is from Wednesday (3/26) to Saturday (3/29). Results will be
tallied and announced by Monday (3/31). These are a lot of dates, but
do not fear, we will send out reminders along the way!

Treasurer
Secretary/Webmaster
Social Coordinator
These positions all entail pretty much what you think they entail. :)

New LIS faculty hired for Fall 2008
LIS faculty to add Tiffany Veinot in Fall 2008.
I know many of you who attended her candidate lecture will be pleased to hear it!
Tiffany will be teaching SI 518: Seminar on Library Leadership later in the semester and SI 626: Management of Specialized Information Services Winter 2009. Her office is in 303B West Hall.
