Teach for America plus...

With the passing of their second application deadline this past week, the campus is buzzing with information and news about Teach for America (at my house in particular since 3 out of the 4 of us are applying!) Teach for America is an amazing opportunity for those interested in spending two years teaching and fighting against the nation's education inequalities.

A common question I've gotten lately on advising (and from my housemates) as people are applying for TFA is "What else is out there like this?" This is a great question and, happily, the answer is "A lot!" If you are passionate about spending 1-3 years teaching after graduation and obtaining your teacher's certification as you go, there are a number of possible programs out there.

You may look into...
