New from AJPH: Television Food Advertising to Children: A Global Perspective
It's not just in North America. This article reports on a study that sampled advertising in Australia, Asia, Western Europe, and North and South America, which showed that in all countries, children were exposed to high volumes of television advertising for unhealthy foods, featuring child-oriented persuasive techniques.
