One thing that intrests me is the overarching theme of public vs. private space. The internet is the most immediate and obvious example of the merging of our private lives with a public or several public communities. We can visit a web site that thousands of other people are accessing at the same time while sitting in our living rooms or chat with people on the other side of the country that we have never met.
