It all depends on your point of view

When I read this article, ALA TechSource | My Three Die, I had two thoughts. First, what will all this attention and official involvement mean to librarians' activities in second life? Will we hear pushback, as some do on Facebook and MySpace, that we are coming in where we don't belong? Second, will official sanction and use make the place "so crowded no one goes there anymore"? So establishment and so purposeful that having a second life is no more thrilling than a first one? It's hard to rebel when the circus you run away to join has your parents and faculty already among the performers.

Or is the next frontier already in use somewhere below our radar?
