Yes, indeed, this is of interest, Patricia. And, on sort of a personal note (inside information, you might say), some years ago, when one of our sons wanted to publish a paper--he was a poor postdoc at the time, some kind soul at PLoS gave him a financial break and charged him only $500 to publish it.
