Interesting new journal

The Chronicle of Higher Education: Magazine & journal reader: American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine

I wonder if this is going to become a separate discipline within medicine. Isn't it just a particular aspect of Family or Internal Medicine? How is lifestyle medicine different from the (non-medical) field of health education?

This is exactly what UM's Michigan Healthy Community now focuses on, so maybe it is becoming important enough now and will indeed become a separate discipline in the future--going along with other aspects of preventive medicine. We were planning on including information about this in our Highlights on our new HSL combined web site, in fact.
