9.23.09 Time Reporting

Time reporting for the week of 9.23.09

On Monday I worked for three hours researching artists with work related to my project, and eventually deciding on one and writing up my presentation. I also started drawing a design sheet for my protagonist for about a half hour Monday evening.

I read Alice in Wonderland last weekend at the suggestion of my discussion group. I'm not sure how long that took. And since then I've been re-working my project's world in my head, though again I'm not sure what time I can count for that.

And now, Thursday, I'm going to work on my collage and world-building for the next 3.5 hours or so.

Where I am right now.

I have cut it down to one project idea and two different media possibilities. I want to create my series of illustrations, and I even thought I could make several display costumes to go along with that project (commenting on costume choice in sf/f books/games/art), but I think in the end I'll end up going with the graphic novel. I want to take a semi-humorous approach to my subject, and I think that will be played out more easily in the graphic novel than in separate illustrations. So, if I do go with the graphic novel, here's what I'm thinking:
