Week 38: Hazelnut Krunch Queen Brownies
As John say, "Anything that has 'krunch' spelled with a 'k' has got to be good". I think that this recipe may actually belong in the book! A layer of fudgie brownie, 'krunchy' caramel hazelnut frosting and a layer of chocolate glaze. What's not to like? Not sure where the 'Queen' part fits in, other than making this thing was a royal pain.

Wow. Definitely in my top 3 or 4, without a doubt.
It's moist to ridiculous perfection. The light frosting is so succinct with the "krispies." It's not what I'd expect hazelnuts to be, yet these brownies leave me open to the idea of what they COULD be.
I would give it an 8.5/10.

Very fab indeed! On a scale of 0-10, I give it a "green".
Not sure what that means - but they were great.

I take that back. I'd give it a 9.75.

I once read a restaurant review on tripadvisor.com that seems quite appropriate to quote here:
These brownies are "like angels copulating on your tongue".
This is easily one of the best recipes in this book (and also the longest, at four pages in length. As the person who holds the recipes, I know these things).
9.95 / 10 (not a 10 because while it is a brownie, I do not consider it a traditional brownie because of all the layers). Too bad Nate isn't here. He'd go gaga over these, methinks.
If every recipe in this book were this good, the book would have lived up to its name. At the moment, maybe only 6 or 7 have truly fit the bill. But I digress.

I take that back.

I'm wildly in love with these!! These are the best ones so far. They are so good to me that I am going to track John down for the recipe. So good, so good, so good. I got the very last square at about 10:40am. I wonder what the record is for the brownie that disappears the fastest...
