Brownie Redux: Raspberry Supreme

Since I was sans recipe this Friday (thanks, John, I really thought that I was going to be finished with this endless project one day), I went back and pulled one of my favorites from the beginning, Raspberry Sumpreme. Luckily, I still had some Chambord left. Let us know if you changed your mind on these. At least I will be able to add pictures.

Detour: Guinness Stout Brownies

As I've said before, any recipe that lets me drink a beer (chambord, whiskey, kahlua, what have you) is ok in my book. Thank goodness for St. Patrick's Day. Without it, no one would have ever thought to put Guinness in a brownie and I would not have had an excuse to go to the beer store and buy some. Let's hope these are as yummy as a pint.

Detour: Peanut Butter Squares

Ok, this is NOT a recipe from the book. This is the John-is-out-of-town-again recipe that came from a different book. Although they label them as brownies, there is no cocoa or chocolate in the batter, so I do not think they qualify to be in the running. I am NOT making these a part of the official recipe testing. John needs to stop leaving town and get me a real recipe!

Enjoy!

Detour: Bakers One Bowl Brownies

No, I did NOT forget about Brownie Friday! I just forgot to bring the brownies! Thankfully, my husband was able to bring them, so enjoy!

These are my favorite brownies and my gold standard which I rate all other brownies against. They meet all the basic brownie requirements and a super easy to make. This is truly a one bowl recipe that takes less than 15 minutes to get into the oven. It almost as quick as a box mix!

Detour: Peanut Butter SWIRLED™ Brownies

Well, folks, we are back on track. Sort of. This week's recipe mysteriously appeared in John's mailbox. I think it may have been a plea for some more decent brownies. And, yes, there is a trademark symbol in the name because the recipe is brought to us by none other than the famous chocolate chip maker, Nestle.

Detour: Palmer House Chocolate Fudge Brownies

This week we have a deviation and a detour. It is not 'Brownie Friday' this week, but 'Brownie Thursday' instead. We also decided that the 'Best 52 Brownies' was getting us no where, so we hopped off that path and took a detour to the web to see what could be found. And John came across a recipe that should be included in a 52 Best book: the Palmer House Brownie.
